Post 2-Term 2, Week 7

Writing: This week we focused a lot on quick writes, which are short stories where we focus a lot on a particular skill. In our quick writes, we concentrated on using descriptive devices such as similes, metaphors, adjectives, alliteration and personification. We created a paragraph based on an imaginary insect and I chose to create a gargantuan glass wing butterfly that lived deep within the most remote rainforests.

Math: We started our groups for our statistical investigation this week, and we learned how to create column graphs, dot plot graphs and Histograms.

Topic: Joyce, Talia and I started our tic-tac-toe about the reproduction of The Goliath Bird Eating Tarantula. We also wrote the finished paragraphs for three of our slides, based on information from the Tic-tac-toe. GBE's are the only member of the tarantula family that don't eat the males during mating. Instead, they eat them afterwards, to fuel up for laying eggs.
